This project features a book cover design for A Rumor of War by Philip Caputo, a memoir of the Vietnam War. I used bold typography and muted, blood-red tones to reflect the book’s serious and contemplative mood. The imagery and layout emphasize the war’s impact, addressing both personal and historical perspectives.

The goal was to refresh a classic book cover while preserving its emotional depth and central themes. By pairing bold text with meaningful imagery, the design engages viewers and communicates the story’s intensity and realism.
